Stephani joined Charles Wright Academy in 2017 and currently serves as the Lower School Director. Before stepping into leadership, she taught 1st Grade at CWA and held roles as Literacy Department Chair and Instructional Coach for the Lower School. Prior to CWA, she taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grades in Seattle Public Schools, where she was also a Demonstration and Mentor Teacher, Professional Development Science Facilitator, and Literacy Team Lead.

Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Stephani earned her B.S. in Psychology from Santa Clara University and a Master’s in Teaching from Seattle University.

Her professional development includes participation in the NWAIS Emerging Leaders Program, National Board Certification in Literacy (ages 3–12), Advanced Writing Workshop Training with Columbia Teachers College, Tetons Experiential Science Training, and various DEIB workshops. She has also completed Leadership and Facilitation Training through Seattle Public Schools and Harvard’s Datawise program.

Stephani loves the close connections she builds with families, students, and teachers in her role. “My favorite part of the day is greeting students and families in the morning. It’s a wonderful way to start each day!”
