At Summer Camp, Campers entering 1-6 grades can enjoy our general sessions and experience the best of everything (including time hiking, exploring, and fort-building in our forest, playing field games, making arts & crafts with our art specialist, and spending time in our outdoor classroom working on nature activities with our nature specialist). General camps are also infused with activities from our “theme of the week,” keeping each week of general camp fresh throughout the summer! Campers entering 1-6 grades can also choose from specialty options, including arts, STEM, theater, and more. Most specialty camps also include time outside playing field games, exploring the forest, and making arts & crafts.
Our sport clinics are geared to help Middle School (rising 5th-8th) students learn and improve their game-play over summer break. Come find out what sports at Charles Wright Academy are all about! All summer camp coaches also coach through out the year at the youth, Middle School, or High School level. Many of our coaches have led CWA athletics to regional and state competitions. CWA prioritizes player safety and teamwork while your student learns and/or improves their technique and gameplay.
Campers entering grades 7 and up can participate in specialty camps, including musical theater, journalism, puppet making, nature exploration, and much more. Most specialty camps also include time outside playing field games, exploring the forest, and making arts & crafts.
Youth entering grades 8 and up are invited to join our leadership offerings, featuring our Counselor-in-Training (grades 8-9) and Intern programs. All camps are taught by CWA faculty and staff, and trusted partners.
Youth entering grades 9-12 who have completed CWA Summer Camp’s CIT Program or youth entering grades 10-12 who attend CWA may apply for our internship program. Please email Colleen Borst, Director of Auxiliary Programs at CBorst@charleswright.org for more information.
