Board of Trustees Update – July 5, 2024

July 05, 2024

Dear CWA Community,

Greetings. We hope you had a wonderful Independence Day. The Board of Trustees had another productive week–the latest news is below.

  • The search consultant firm, Educational Directions (EduDx), received interest for the Interim Head of School position from over 35 candidates nationwide. EduDx vetted each candidate and narrowed the list to eight. The Interim Head of School Search Committee, which includes representatives from both the faculty and the parent community, met on Wednesday, July 3, and narrowed the list to three. These final candidates will be scheduled individually to be on campus July 10th, 11th, and 12th to meet with the school community in the Lower School Commons. The schedule for each visit is as follows:

    • 9:05-9:50 a.m. – Faculty and Staff

    • 10:00-10:45 a.m. – Parents and Guardians

    • 11:00-11:45 a.m. – Students

Separate communications will go out to each of these constituents with details and asking for you to RSVP.

  • We are excited to announce that we have retained Reciprocity Consulting to facilitate our listening sessions. Reciprocity is a local firm that provides customized support to strengthen organizations, engage communities, and build resilient, collaborative partnerships. We have four community listening sessions tentatively scheduled for this month on July 17th and 19th (times to be determined). These listening sessions are open to the CWA community and will allow attendees the opportunity to share concerns, pose questions, and provide general feedback. The feedback we receive in these listening sessions will help guide us in our search for a permanent Head of School. We will provide the final details for these listening sessions as soon as we have them.

  • Reciprocity is also developing a family and faculty electronic survey to gather additional community feedback. More on that soon.

Thank you for prioritizing the security and respect for all members of our community. We are thankful for the many letters and offers of support to connect and work together. It is on this foundation that we build, with a vision for the future and greater good uniting us.

As always, please feel free to contact us at feedback@cwatrustees.com with any comments, questions, or concerns. Community feedback will be shared with the entire Board. Also please share this and future communications with any interested community member. Go Tarriers!

Sincerely,

The CWA Board of Trustees
