Henry Cheney ’16 is a CWA lifer, starting in the Beginning School and staying through his senior year. After graduation from Charles Wright Academy, he attended the University of Portland where he played and coached D1 baseball while pursuing both his undergraduate degree and then earning an MBA in Nonprofit Management. Henry recently returned to CWA to coach our Varsity Baseball team and take on the role of Assistant Athletic Director for Youth Sports. Henry’s leadership has revitalized CWA’s Youth Sports program which continues to grow and thrive.

Whether he is working with families or students in the program, he continually makes an impact on the lives of Tarriers each and every day. Although Henry has served as Head Coach for the Charles Wright baseball team, he has already been named Nisqually League Coach of the Year for his incredible work with our Upper School athletes. Outside of his work at CWA, Henry serves as a board member at the Ben B. Cheney Foundation, a foundation that makes grants to organizations helping improve the quality of life in the community.
