Tuition & Affording CWA
Tuition & Financial Aid
Investing in Excellence
Tuition at Charles Wright Academy is designed to be competitive with peer and area independent schools while offering exceptional value. Our comprehensive tuition covers more than just classroom learning:
-
Morning Care: Before-school supervision to support busy families
-
Resources Included: Textbooks and technology fees, including laptops for upper elementary through high school students.
-
Experiential Learning: All costs for educational travel, overnight field trips, and hands-on learning experiences are built into tuition.
-
Beginning School Summer Care and Food Service: Beginning School at CWA is a year-long program which includes care 5 days a week for 12 months out of the year (excluding holidays, breaks and school closures), and snack and lunch service. Morning and after-school care is also included in Beginning School tuition.
At Charles Wright Academy, we believe in providing a seamless, enriching education that inspires students to thrive inside and outside the classroom.
Affording Charles Wright Academy
Charles Wright Academy is committed to fostering socioeconomic diversity by providing financial aid to families pursuing a CWA college preparatory education. We aim to make this program accessible for students from Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Our Financial Aid process is distinct from the admission process, and each application is thoroughly reviewed with care.
Beginning School: 2026-27 School Year
Lower School: 2026-27 School Year
Middle School: 2026-27 School Year
Upper School: 2026-27 School Year
To afford Charles Wright Academy tuition, families can choose from our payment plans, allowing for one, three, or nine payments throughout the academic year. It’s important to note that Beginning School is not eligible for financial aid. However, tuition covers lunch, snacks, before and after-school care, and optional summer care. For more information, please get in touch with the Office of Admission at (253) 620-8373 or admissions@charleswright.org.
The Financial Aid Process
During the previous year, 30% of Charles Wright Academy students received financial aid grants.
We understand that financing an independent school education can be a significant expense. While the primary responsibility of tuition payment lies with the family, we are committed to meeting the demonstrated financial needs of our enrolled families as much as possible. Please note that a limited amount of financial aid is available for Kindergarten applicants.

At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.
If you have questions, in-app support is available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, and email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752 in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.
Video help provided by Clarity can be found here.
Note: If you are divorced, separated, or never-married parents living apart, each household must submit a separate financial aid application.
